Paratext is an independent library information company based in Northern Virginia. Paratext produces authoritative research databases in History, Major Reference Works and U.S. Goverment Documents.  Paratext products are used within academic, public and specialized libraries in North America and throughout the world. Paratext was founded in 1993 by Eric M. Calaluca, who has developed scholarly information products since 1987.  Robert F. Asleson served as Chairman of Paratext from 2001 until his passing in 2010, bringing more than 40 years of innovative, executive-level acumen to bear on all aspects of product development; editorial content and strategic deployment across multiple information platforms.
