Paratext is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our friend,
colleague and company Chairman, Bob Asleson. For nearly 50 years, Bob
was among the most
creative and prolific executives in the information industry. Bob was an engineer;
a lawyer; a publishing CEO; and an unparalleled advisor and guide.
Bob's exhaustive knowledge
of the history; the science; and the art of scholarly publishing
was exceeded only by his professionalism and civility. Paratext salutes
the remarkable life and career of our friend, whose loss is
